How the main business makes money. The family fortune came from monthly cable bills at Cablevision. Today MSG Sports sells tickets, suites, sponsorships, food and merchandise at Knicks and Rangers games. It also collects national and local media-rights fees. National fees rose under the NBA's new deals from 2025-26; local fees fell. The venue company earns more, from concerts, events and the arena fees the teams pay.
