How the main business makes money. Amway makes vitamins and supplements, beauty products, home-care goods and water and air purifiers. It sells them through independent distributors, not shops. Distributors earn on their own sales and on sales by people they recruit; Amway earns on the products. Nutrition is 64% of the range. An Amway disclosure for 2024 put the average distributor with a sale at $1,199 a year before expenses.
